The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Stove Network on being awarded £296,476 from the Scottish Government Culture Collective programme; understands that this funding, distributed through Creative Scotland, will be used to support local projects in Dumfries and Galloway through the Stove’s What We Do Now project; notes that this includes A’ the Airts in Sanquhar, OutPost Arts in Langholm, Lift D&G in Dumfries, Birchvale Theatre in Dalbeattie and the Millennium Centre in Stranraer; understands that the Culture Collective programme is for grassroots regional projects around the country and that the funding is aimed at supporting creative freelancers, who have been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and commends the efforts of all at the Stove in moving these projects forward.
