Nevis Radio Receives The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Nevis Radio, which has been honoured with The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, which is the highest award that a voluntary organisation can receive in the UK and is presented to groups that carry out outstanding work in their communities; recognises the sheer hard work, sacrifice and effort that those who volunteer for Nevis Radio have put into the station since it was founded in August 1994; acknowledges the importance of independent community radio stations for communities across Scotland, and wishes Nevis Radio and its volunteers well for years to come.
