Broke Not Broken, Kinross-based Charity Receives The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Kinross-based charity, Broke Not Broken, on receiving The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service; recognises that the services provided have expanded from the beginnings of the foodbank in 2015 to encompass a range of projects aimed at tackling the effects of poverty; notes that these services include an advice hub, kids' club, garden project, cookery courses and counselling; acknowledges that the organisation is entirely volunteer-run and dependent on charitable donations, and wishes it every success with its future work.
