The motion

That the Parliament welcomes a new initiative by the Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface (CTSI), to ensure that businesses across "the Wee County" will be able to support their staff’s volunteering efforts outside of work; understands that the initiative, named Business with a Heart, has been established as a tiered approach, to ensure that businesses of any size are able to become involved at a level that suits their own operation; further understands that, as part of the initial tier, CTSI would like to assist businesses in informing part-time staff how they can become involved in volunteering in their own time, in addition to advising how full-time staff can volunteer around their working lives; notes that the second level will focus on how local businesses can become more connected with local charities, either through fundraising, or more direct support; commends CTSI manager, Anthea Coulter, on this excellent initiative, and congratulates the organisation on its sterling work such as this, along with its trusteeship in the local charity, Homestart, in addition to the Clackmannanshire Citizens’ Advice Bureau, all of which is focused on benefitting the entire Clackmannanshire community.
