Source to Sea Charity Fundraiser

The motion

That the Parliament commends Scott Birse, Barry Chalmers, Daniel Christie and Peter Torrance for running over 80 miles from the source of the River Dee to where it flows into the sea at Aberdeen to help fundraise for Charlie House and the local area; acknowledges that the Source to Sea runners began their fundraising event in the Cairngorm Mountains at around 8pm on 23 July 2021 and completed the difficult route at the Aberdeen Harbour at 4pm the following day; understands that they have raised over £16,500, which will be donated to Charlie House, a north-east charity that provides support to babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families, as well as to improve sports facilities in Banchory; congratulates the four friends on this fantastic achievement, and wishes them all the best.
