The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the news that the Clackmannanshire volunteer trishaw service has recently equipped itself with a potentially lifesaving defibrillator device, in what it understands is a UK, or even world, first; understands that the defibrillator has been presented to Cycling Without Age Clackmannanshire and will be taken along for all rides provided by volunteers across the Wee County; notes that, although it is hoped that the device will never need to be used, it is now available to help passengers, volunteers and others out on cycle paths in case of an emergency; understands that the Clackmannanshire resident, Henry Gill, who helped bring the trishaw movement to the area, recently joined Clackmannan Development Trust's Scott Bamford, as well as the Cycling Without Age Scotland chief executive officer, Christine Bell, to unveil the defibrillator during an outing; notes that the idea for the defibrillator was raised at the organisation's recent AGM as a way of utilising lottery funding; further understands that, while numerous Cycling Without Age groups have contributed to installing defibrillators in their own communities, the Clackmannanshire trishaws will be the first to officially carry such a device, and congratulates everyone involved on their work on this excellent initiative.
