Love Lamb Week
The motion
That the Parliament supports Love Lamb Week, which began on 1 September 2021; urges farmers, chefs, butchers, supermarkets and consumers to back this, the seventh, annual celebration; recognises its key role as part of Quality Meat Scotland’s Make it with Field Cred campaign to boost red meat sales; acknowledges the important role that sheep and farming play in Scotland, both in the highlands and the lowlands, thanks to its wonderful landscape and weather, which makes it one of the most suitable places in the world to sustainably farm and produce lamb locally; hopes that many people will enjoy the delicious examples of produce available during the event, and wishes the organisers every success in their latest bid to raise the profile of sheep farming.
