Shell Aims to Install 50,000 EV chargers by 2025
The motion
That the Parliament commends the ambition set by Shell to have 50,000 on-street electric vehicle (EV) charge posts installed across the UK by the end of 2025; understands the chargers will be available through on-street charging provider ubitricity, which is part of the Shell Group; notes that there are already 3,600 ubitricity chargers in place in the UK and the extra chargers will help to provide greater EV charging availability to the millions of drivers without private parking, and recognises the importance of partnership working between the UK and Scottish governments, local authorities and industry to meet the UK’s climate targets.
