Maggie’s 500 Charity Cycle
The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges the work of Maggie’s 500 Charity Cycle, in which 40 local business owners have set off from Raigmore Hospital, to cycle 500 miles in five days, to raise funds to support the cancer charity, Maggie’s Highlands; notes that they have almost doubled their original fundraising target of £150,000, with the total currently sitting at £275,763; understands that the climb in their ride will exceed the height of Everest, involving over 8,000ft of climbing over the two highest roads in the UK, and wishes them well in their journey.
