Construction Industry Coronavirus (CICV) Forum
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Construction Industry Coronavirus (CICV) Forum for the work it has undertaken in providing support, guidance, and advice to the Scottish construction sector and its clients throughout the COVID-19 pandemic; acknowledges that, by bringing together all the major trade and professional bodies, the CICV has pooled industry expertise and knowledge, to represent the interests of Scotland’s diverse construction supply chain, with one consistent voice; understands that CICV Forum priorities include giving expert advice and focus on important sector issues including health and safety, skills and training, energy efficiency, commercial and employment matters; recognises the CICV Forum for what it sees as the very important work it carried out, in advising and supporting clients, especially vulnerable individuals who required work to be undertaken to their homes during the pandemic, and believes that, due to the success of the Forum, members of the CICV have agreed to continue to work together post-pandemic, for the wider long-term benefit of the industry.
