Project in Abergeldie Road, Ballater, Shortlisted for Prestigious Regeneration Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Affordable Housing Development at the Former School in Abergeldie Road, Ballater, on being shortlisted in the Housing and Regeneration category of the prestigious 2021 SURF Awards for Best Practice in Community Regeneration; understands that the SURF Awards identify and celebrate best practice, innovation and achievement in interventions that improve Scottish communities; recognises that the Ballater development was developed by Grampian Housing Association, and notes that the refurbishment brought a much-loved old building back into use as 24 properties, a mix of affordable flats and family homes in an area with high housing demand.
