The motion

That the Parliament recognises the work of the National Autistic Society Scotland as it celebrated the recent Olympics and Paralympics by holding its very own sporting event; notes that this event also had its own medal ceremony, and that activities included speed walking, basketball, hurdling and football; understands that there are 19 autistic adults at the service, all of whom require 24-hour care; further understands that many of these adults have just started seeing their families again, following COVID-19 restrictions; notes how important the work of the National Autistic Society Scotland is in improving the lives of those with autism, and praises the Autism Support Ayrshire branch, as its team grows in size and it begins planning social navigation for young people with autism.
