Fife Bakery Named Best in UK in Industry Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Stephens Bakery, which has 11 outlets across Fife, including two in Kirkcaldy, on being named the UK’s best craft bakery at the 2021 Bakery Industry Awards; notes that the company scooped the highest accolade in the craft bakery business category at the prestigious awards, which recognise quality, dedication and innovation in the sector and are entered by businesses large and small from across the UK; understands that Stephens Bakery was selected following a robust judging process, looking at all aspects of its business, with tastings and site visits from an independent panel of experts from across the baking industry, and was unanimously awarded high scores across key assessment areas including employee training and development, current and predicted business growth, product range, craft skills and product quality; believes that this award is testament to the hard work and commitment of the team, and wishes them continued success.
