FASS Curnie Clubs
The motion
That the Parliament commends the continuing work of the Fife Alcohol Support Service (FASS) Curnie Clubs and FASS' success in securing funding from the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that the grant will allow the clubs to help lonely and isolated adults back into communities across Fife for another three years; notes that the social groups began in 2015 and offer a unique approach that combines friendship, therapeutic support and counselling to tackle loneliness and isolation; acknowledges what it sees as the importance of this project, which allows staff trained in counselling skills, and using therapeutic approaches, to help severely isolated people re-join communities, and wishes the clubs all the very best for the future.
