The motion

That the Parliament recognises Anti-Bullying Week, which takes place from 15 to 19 November 2021; notes that thousands of schools, organisations and individuals are getting involved in the One Kind Word campaign; understands that this year’s campaign theme has been co-designed with young people, before being adopted by the UK’s leading anti-bullying organisations, including respectme, and that it recognises that kindness is perhaps more important today than it has ever been; considers that the isolation of the last year has underlined how little acts of consideration can break down barriers and brighten the lives of others, and notes that the week will begin with Odd Socks Day, which it understands is an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves, celebrate their individuality and what makes everyone unique, and help raise awareness of bullying.
