Sybil Cobben and Marie Curie, Fundraising in Fife
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the important work of Marie Curie, in Fife and around Scotland, in caring for and supporting terminally-ill people and their families; notes that, through partnership working with NHS Fife, the charity has been able to support people who wish to have end-of-life care at home; recognises that this work has continued throughout the COVID-19 pandemic; notes that the organisation relies heavily on fundraising to finance its operations; understands the challenge that COVID-19 has posed, with events having to move online; notes particularly the efforts in Fife that have been led by Sybil Cobben, from Dalgety Bay, who has been fundraising for a number of years and whose work did not slow down during the pandemic; commends Sybil and all volunteers and staff across Fife and Scotland for the important role that they play, and wishes them all the best going forward in their efforts.
