The motion

That the Parliament warmly congratulates Kinglassie Primary School on its P4-5 pupils winning first place in a UK young writers' competition; understands that the entries were chosen as the best out of 19,000 and appreciates that their entries have been published in a book showcasing the very best young writers in the country; notes that the stories were submitted in the Ridiculous Writers category and the pupils' ideas came from picking adjectives and nouns from the roll of a dice; applauds the children’s creativity and enthusiasm and acknowledges the great achievement of winning the accolade against so many other schools; notes that the entries were posted just before the school closed due to the COVID-19 lockdown and that, because of the delay in judging, the pupils are now in P6-7; commends them on winning £500 for the school; sends its best wishes to the children and school community, and wishes them continued success.
