Brighouse Bay Holiday Park Wins Prestigious National Title
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Brighouse Bay Holiday Park at Borque in Kirkcudbright on winning the coveted national award of Campsite of the Year in the latest AA Caravan and Camping Awards, recognises its achievement, which cements its place as a top UK tourist destination, with the AA inspectors being impressed by the campsite and describing the business, operated by the Gillespie family, as being a "top class park…with superb views"; notes that the park has been attracting visitors to the Solway Coast for over 40 years, and wishes the holiday park every success in continuing to welcome people to the area, as the hospitality industry looks to move forward after having suffered badly during the COVID-19 pandemic, when vital business was lost.
