Ardgowan Distillery Takes Silver at Scottish Whisky Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Ardgowan Distillery on being awarded a silver medal at the Scottish Whisky Awards; recognises that the distillery’s Clydebuilt Shipwright whisky placed second in the Blended Malt Scotch Whisky category; notes that Shipwright is the second release in the Ardgowan Distillery’s Clydebuilt series, created by its master whisky maker, Max McFarlane; appreciates that the company plans to build a new distillery and visitor centre on the Ardgowan Estate near Inverkip, and wishes it all the best as it aspires to put Inverclyde on the global whisky map.
