National Lottery Funding for Kirkcaldy Organisations
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Fife Alcohol Support Service (FASS) and Kingdom Abuse Survivors Project (KASP) on successfully securing National Lottery funding; understands that the award of £187,930 to FASS will enable it to provide an emotional support system for those experiencing isolation and loneliness through therapeutic group work and intense individual work, and to support participants to develop social interactions in the wider community, maintain peer support, build confidence and utilise their skills; further understands that the award of £111,072 to KASP will be used to continue its existing project supporting counsellors to address the issue of childhood sexual abuse in the community; commends the work of both organisations, and wishes them well for the future.
