5 Stars to The Great Tapestry of Scotland

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the announcement that The Great Tapestry of Scotland Visitor Centre, in Galashiels, which opened in August 2021, has been awarded VisitScotland’s 5 star accreditation; understands that these stars are an internationally-recognised accreditation, representing world-class excellence of the entire visitor experience; notes that the team at the Centre was commended on "a fantastic achievement for a first visit and new visitor attraction"; hopes that this formal recognition will encourage more people to visit the Centre and wider area, and congratulates all involved in securing this accreditation.
