The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Cedeco Contractors Limited, a Glasgow-based engineering design house that specialises in improving the efficiency of operations in offshore oil and gas and renewables, on being awarded £88,637 by the UK Government under its Energy Entrepreneurs Fund; notes that the company will use the funding to develop technology that will help improve the efficiency of installing offshore wind turbines; applauds this innovative project, which seeks to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and support the tidal and wind energy sectors, and understands that the award is part of a package of funding by the UK Government that aims to support the UK’s green industrial revolution, help Scottish businesses turn their green ideas into reality, and reach the country’s net zero targets, while also bringing jobs and investment to Scotland.
