The motion
That the Parliament recognises the Award winning programme, Green Token Giving, which is run by the charitable company, the Asda Foundation; further recognises that the Asda Foundation offers several different funding streams for local community projects; notes that customers and colleagues can use the website to nominate local community projects and, thereafter, vote for their favourite; further notes that the community project with the most votes wins £500, with the second and third placeholders winning £200 each; understands that last year, 45 projects in Central Scotland received funding totalling £13,500 and, overall, the Asda Foundation has invested more than £500,000 in community projects; encourages anyone who would like to nominate any community-led projects in their area, to visit the website or speak to the Store Manager or Community Champion in their local Asda store.
