Ayrshire’s Margo McGill Becomes New Clerk of Lieutenancy
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Margo McGill as she becomes the Lord-Lieutenant of Ayrshire and Arran’s new Clerk of Lieutenancy; notes what it sees as Margo's wealth of experience as a solicitor with Lockharts Law LLP, in its agriculture and estates team in Ayr; understands that Margo is Ayrshire’s only lawyer to be accredited as a specialist in agricultural law by the Law Society of Scotland; further notes that Margo will be assisting the Lord Lieutenant of Ayrshire and Arran in arranging visits by members of the Royal Family and liaising with local units of the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force, and wishes Margo well as she develops her knowledge of royal protocols and procedures within her new role to the Lieutenancy.
