Good Luck to Team GB Wheelchair Curlers at Winter Paralympics

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Hugh Nibloe, from Stranraer, on being selected as part of a five-strong Team GB, along with fellow Scots team members, to compete in the wheelchair curling at the forthcoming Winter Paralympics being staged in Beijing, China, in March; wishes the team every success in the event; acknowledges the remarkable journey that Hugh, a Scottish internationalist, has undertaken after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2005, having taken part previously at the Paralympics in 2018; recognises the importance of National Lottery support in funding training sessions held in Stirling to help the team to prepare for the competition, and praises the enormous dedication and commitment of the team in reaching what it sees as the pinnacle of the sport.
