Marriot Family Wild Swim Challenge Raises £10,000 for Charity

The motion

That the Parliament commends Patrick, Henrietta and Alice Marriot, from Littleferry, on raising £10,305 for the Sandpiper Trust by swimming at least 50m outdoors in Sutherland without wetsuits, every month during 2021; understands that Patrick and Alice were the swimmers, whilst Henrietta, an advanced nurse practitioner, and one of the British Association for Immediate Care Scotland (BASICS) responders in Sutherland, provided support in the form of blankets and medical cover, and further understands that the amount raised was enough to equip three emergency responders with a fully-stocked medical bag, defibrillator, oxygen and medication, as well as a high-vis jacket, boots and helmet.
