Congratulating Alex Hogg MBE, Scottish Gamekeepers Association Chairman

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Scottish Gamekeepers Association Chairman, Alex Hogg, on receiving a Member of the Order of the British Empire in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List; notes that the Borders’ gamekeeper received the MBE at the Palace of Holyroodhouse with his wife Caroline; commends Alex Hogg for what it sees as his unwavering efforts to promote gamekeeping, moorland management and the interests of rural workers across Scotland; thanks him for his hard work as the Chairman of the Scottish Gamekeepers Association, and calls on the Scottish Government to commit to a Gamekeepers’ Taskforce, to address some of the findings of recent research into the profession.
