Motion · S6M-03045 · 1 Feb 2022
Sarah Millar Appointed New Chief Executive of Quality Meat Scotland (QMS)
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the achievement of Sarah Millar, who has newly been appointed Chief Executive of Quality Meat Scotland (QMS); understands that Sarah’s career has spanned multiple parts of the Scottish farming supply chain, including working for multi-national businesses, and as a rural business consultant; recognises what it sees as the dedication and service of outgoing Chief Executive, Alan Clarke, who will step down in April 2022, after five years in the role; wishes Sarah Millar the best of luck in her new role, and asks that the Scottish Government does more to encourage more women into Scotland’s vibrant agricultural sector.
