In Memory of Bill Diack

The motion

That the Parliament notes with great sadness the passing of Bill Diack, who received France’s highest honour, the Legion d’Honneur; notes that Bill Diack, from Aberdeen, was actively involved in the D-Day landings; understands that he survived ferocious bombing by German aircraft in France, and was among the first British troops to reach and liberate the notorious Bergen-Belsen concentration camp; gives thanks for his heroic service, and extends sincere condolences to his family.
