Alloa Rotary Club Supports Tonga with Rotary New Zealand

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the news that Alloa Rotary Club has collaborated with its associate club in New Zealand to provide financial assistance to the Tongan relief effort, which is in response to the recent eruption of the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai submarine volcano that triggered a tsunami; understands that Rotary New Zealand has a long association with trusted partners in Tonga; notes that, some years ago, an Alloa Rotary Club Member visited Tonga and met club members there, and commends Alloa Rotary Club for what it sees as its thoughtfulness in making a contribution through the Rotary New Zealand’s World Community Service.
