Recognising the Work of Tongue Health Walks Group

Lodged by Edward Mountain Standard Motion 29 supporters

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the work of Tongue Health Walks Group and their community support, which, it understands, is provided through a people-centred approach; commends Paths for All, who train the walk leaders and offer support as necessary on walks; notes what it sees as the commitment throughout the COVID-19 pandemic of the Tongue Health Walks Group, which is part of the Think Nature Health walks project, for being one group which sent emails, telephoned walkers and set up buddy walks with matching leaders to help combat loneliness, and wishes the group well as it continues to help many of those through their walks, strength and balance exercises, and other social activities.
