The Breathing Space Bench Project in North Lanarkshire Country Parks

The motion

That the Parliament understands that Suicide Prevention North Lanarkshire has teamed up with Breathing Space Scotland to create The Breathing Space Bench Project; further understands that this project consists of three benches being situated throughout country parks in North Lanarkshire; notes that these benches are in Strathclyde Country Park, Drumpellier Country Park in Coatbridge and Centenary Park in Airdrie; understands that the purpose of this project is to create welcoming spaces and to encourage people to listen, talk and to share kindness and compassion to each other, and further understands that Breathing Space is a free service providing out-of-hours support to people across the country who are experiencing low mood, depression or anxiety, and whose helpline number is 0800 83 85 87.
