World Kidney Day 10 March 2022
The motion
That the Parliament recognises that 10 March 2022 is World Kidney Day; understands that the day highlights the importance of kidney health, and draws attention to kidney disease and the associated mental health repercussions, as well as the physical impact; further understands that three million people in the United Kingdom have chronic kidney disease and that the average wait time for a kidney is three years, and acknowledges what it sees as the importance of living donation for people in need of a kidney transplant.
