Glentrool and Bargrennan Community Trust Hit Lottery Jackpot

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Glentrool and Bargrennan Community Trust after receiving a £75,260 grant from the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that the fund supports communities to thrive through funding from the National Lottery; further understands that this funding will allow the group to employ a development manager to co-ordinate a programme of activities from their newly-refurbished community facility, The Hive, located in the heart of the village; believes that the manager will play an important role in building relationships with third-party service providers and other local stakeholders, and marketing the facility as a destination with the dual purposes of improving the health and wellbeing of local residents and the social life of the village, and wishes the trust every success as it brings the community together and builds for a better future.
