Dnipro Kids, Scottish Charity Assisting Ukrainian Orphans
The motion
That the Parliament applauds the work being done by a Scottish charity in aiding children from two orphanages in south-central Ukraine to escape the conflict; notes that Dnipro Kids was established by supporters of Hibernian FC following a visit to Dnipro for a UEFA Cup match in September 2005; welcomes reports from Stevie Carr of Perth, Chairman of Dnipro Kids, regarding the safe arrival in Poland of 51 children and their chaperones, and wishes Mr Carr and Dnipro Kids every success as they await, it understands, the processing of UK visa applications.
