Helensburgh Tennis Club Raises Over £600 for DEC Afghan Appeal

The motion

That the Parliament commends the members of Helensburgh Tennis Club on raising over £600 for the Disaster Emergency Committee’s (DEC) Afghanistan crisis appeal; understands that the fundraising was done through coffee and cake mornings and that the club has a long history of supporting charitable causes around the world, and commends club members Anne, Carol and Maria who came up with the idea of raising funds after seeing the plight of refugees on television reports.
