Lanarkshire Man Rewarded for Service to Armed Forces Charity

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Andy McIntosh, Chairman of Solider, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association Lanarkshire (SSAFA) and late of the Cheshire Regiment on receiving the Sir James Gildea Award; understands that this award was named after the founder of SSAFA; further understands that this award was created to recognise volunteers and employees for their extraordinary contribution and commitments to SSAFA’s activities and values, and understands that Andy will be climbing Ben A’an in May 2022 with the support of his fellow members of the Strathaven FTPT and that they will be scaling the summit with the aim to smash their £1000 target to raise money for SSAFA.
