Rhu Group Helps Raise £1,230 for Medical Supplies in Ukraine

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Rhukulele group, which is based in Rhu, for hosting a wonderful singalong to 60s, 70s and 80s music to raise funds for medical supplies for Eastern Ukraine; understands that £1,230 was raised in an afternoon at Rhu Community Centre; further understands that the funds have been raised to buy medical equipment, including surgical items, medicines, and blankets, and understands that group leader, Louise Burnet, took charge of arranging the event along with the local community who baked cakes to be enjoyed at the event.
