Strathcarron Hospice Shortlisted for Student Placement of the Year Award

The motion

That the Parliament is enthused that Strathcarron Hospice has been shortlisted in the Student Placement of the Year Award category in the prestigious UK Student Nursing Times Awards 2022; understands that the hospice represents Scotland as the only Scottish organisation in the category and was nominated by the University of Stirling; further understands that it provides specialist training and undergraduate placement opportunities; understands that every student works alongside the multi-disciplinary teams to deliver specialist palliative and end of life care for the people living in the Forth Valley and across to Cumbernauld and Kilsyth; further understands that as a charity, the hospice helps the local people who support it and that to be nominated by the University of Stirling as an exceptional student placement and to be recognised by The Student Nursing Times are considerable accolades in themselves; notes that the Student Nursing Times Awards will take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane on 27 May 2022, and wishes Strathcarron and all involved in this nomination, the very best of luck for the awards.
