Parish Church Raises £11,000 for Ukraine Refugees

The motion

That the Parliament applauds the efforts of Helensburgh Parish Church on raising over £11,000 for Ukrainian refugees; understands that the funds were raised by church worshippers, the congregations benevolent fund, the Boys Brigade and Gift Aid recovery; further understands that the funds have been distributed to Christian Aid, Edinburgh Direct Aid, Save the Children, the Red Cross and Reformed Church of Hungary charities, and understands that a second and third phase of fundraising activities will take place to ensure those in need are supported by the community of Helensburgh.
