Celebrate Aberdeen is Back

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes back Celebrate Aberdeen event, which it understands will take place on 27 August 2022; notes that this is the ninth edition of the parade after a two-year break due to COVID-19; understands that the event takes place to celebrate hundreds of charities, voluntary groups and social enterprises to highlight the vital work that they do for the north-east; acknowledges what it sees as the increased importance of the 2022 parade as it looks to celebrate the invaluable help that charities and organisations provided to help support people through the COVID-19 pandemic, and hopes that the event is a great success.
