David Bennett, Prestwick Golf Club

The motion

That the Parliament applauds David Bennett, who is the chef at Prestwick Golf Club, for raising £13,365 for the Beatson Cancer Charity and the Ayrshire Hospice; understands that David wrote a cookbook containing 40 dishes from his 40 years of experience as a chef, and that it has sold more than 1,000 copies since being released last year; recognises that the money raised will help the Beatson Cancer Charity and Ayrshire Hospice improve services for the people that they care for; notes that both charities cared for David’s late wife, Anne, and are therefore close to his heart; congratulates David on his work, and wishes him every success for the future.
