The motion

That the Parliament commends Fay Cunningham and Emma Petrie of Aboyne, Aberdeenshire, on their efforts to run 100 marathons in 100 days; understands that the pair, who run a personal training business together, Match My Workout, began the challenge as a means of raising money for charity in memory of their parents, who it understands passed away from cancer and motor neurone disease, and are raising funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association and Macmillan Cancer Support; further understands that they have completed a marathon every day since 19 February 2022, overcoming challenging weather and physical exhaustion; understands that the successful completion of 100 consecutive marathons would constitute a new female world record, and wishes them continued success in achieving this feat.
