The motion

That the Parliament understands that equipment, in the form of new Public Access Defibrillators (PADS), are needed for six defibrillator’s throughout Bothwell and Uddingston; further understands that members of the Bothwell and Uddingston community are being asked to make a small donation to go towards the new PADS; understands that members of the popular Facebook forum, G71 Bothwell and Uddingston Community Forum, worked tirelessly throughout 2021 to fundraise, along with several kind donations from local people and groups to have five of the heart start machines installed at various locations throughout the town and village; further understands that, due to the machines being accessed many times to save several lives, new PADS are now needed as soon as possible; notes that five of the defibrillators have 24-hour access and can be found in Cut Fish car park, Bothwell, Bothwell Parish Church car park, Uddingston Bowling Club outside wall, Special Day Cakes at the main entrance and at the entrance to Wm Livingstone Garage showroom, and notes that the sixth machine is situated within WY Graham Pharmacy during opening hours.
