Forth Valley Art Beat

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the return of the Forth Valley Art Beat, which it understands is a nine-day open studio and art event; understands that during the week from 11 to 19 June 2022, the event will feature many studios open by appointment during that week; notes that details of all artists participating in the event, as well as hosted artist-run workshops, is now available to view on the Forth Valley Art Beat website; further notes that a programme of participatory arts and cycling as part of the Art Beat is also announced, including an event at Callendar Park, Falkirk on 4 June 2022; understands that Forth Valley Art Beat first began in 2010 as Forth Valley Open Studios, with it later forming as Forth Valley Art Beat to encompass its full range of activity; further understands that the event continues to be one of the largest cultural events celebrating creativity across the Forth Valley; understands that the event was founded by a small group of artists creating an annual opportunity for fellow artists throughout the regions, including Mid Scotland and Fife, to connect with each other and the wider community; shares the ambitions of Forth Valley Art Beat in continuing to work with all artists and creative organisations across the Forth Valley to help strengthen the event going forward, and wishes everyone involved all the very best for their continued collective success.
