Alisha Rees Breaks National 100m Record

The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Alisha Rees, who it understands has broken Helen Golden’s 48-year-old Scottish 100m sprint record of 11.40 seconds; understands that Alisha broke the record with a time of 11.39 when competing in the BFT Series in Dagenham; further understands that her time also meets the qualifying standard for the Commonwealth Games; commends this extraordinary achievement by Alisha, and praises her dedication to her sport.
