Scottish Asian Ekta Group's 20th Anniversary Celebration

The motion

That the Parliament commends the organisers of the Scottish Asian Ekta Group, who held the group’s 20th anniversary celebration dinner in Glasgow; understands that the group was created to encourage the female members to be sociable, learn new skills, be self-sufficient and to take part in social and cultural events, including organised trips around the UK; commends the dedication of the chairperson, Ms Adarsh Khullar, and secretary, Brij Ghandi MBE, and the management team for evolving the small group into a large and well-respected community organisation, and applauds the group for the promotion of physical and mental health.
