Paul Foster MBE, Troon, and Garry Hood, Ayr - Lawn Bowls Commonwealth Games

The motion

That the Parliament applauds Paul Foster MBE and Garry Hood, who will represent Scotland in lawn bowls at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham; recognises that Paul is a member of Troon Bowling Club and Gary is a member of Ayr Craigie Bowling Club; understands that Paul has won four gold medals and one silver medal in previous Commonwealth Games; recognises that Paul is Team Scotland’s third all-time most successful Commonwealth Games athlete; notes that Garry is returning to the Scotland Team 28 years after his first appearance, and will play in the Scotland Para Lawns Bowl Team; congratulates Paul and Garry for representing their country in the sport they love, and wishes them the very best of luck for the games.
