Helensburgh Children’s Charity Wins National Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Fun First, which was named Military Family Charity of the Year at the inaugural Celebrating Forces Families awards ceremony in London; notes that the charity was set up 20 years ago and won this award for adapting its sessions during the COVID-19 lockdown periods to ensure families were not completely isolated; understands that YouTube videos were created, and Zoom virtual parties held; commends the charity for doing doorstep deliveries of craft packs, which helped families celebrate Halloween and Easter virtually, and applauds the efforts of bringing Santa Claus to the area during lockdown where gifts for children were handed out.
