Lodged by Liam Kerr (Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party) Standard Motion 29 supporters

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes Thomson Dairies' plans to create at least 25 jobs at their new depot in Aberdeen, to help with an increase of milk deliveries across the north east; understands that their services provide milk, eggs, bacon, and bread to all parts of Aberdeen, Stonehaven and Fraserburgh; further understands that they have invested upwards of £1 million upgrading infrastructure to improve business growth in the north east, and are working directly with farmers so that they receive a fair price; applauds the work that they have been doing to remove single-use plastic cartons, replacing them with traditional glass bottles, which can be rinsed and returned, and can remain in cycle for several years; understands that they estimate to have removed 2.6 million plastic cartons out of circulation last year, and wishes all at Thomson Dairies the best for the future.
